Roadside ‘Merica Attractions

Last Friday on the way from Dillsburg to Bethlehem I went on a little Roadside ‘Merica tour. I had the time to kill and it promised to be a fun, low stress kind of a day. First stop was the Dill Pickle Statue in Dillsburg. He has seen better days. It’s a shame that he is missing his right hand.

Next up was a literal fork in the road. Located in Centerport, it stands between Main Street and Centerport Road. There is also a bar here called Wreckers Bar & Grill. I didn’t stop in this trip but maybe next time.

This is the old Sky Chief gasoline pump that stands on the corner of Old U.S. 22 and S. 3rd St. at the historic Haag’s Hotel in Shartlesville. One of the Hotel employees came over and gave me at brief history lesson on how it worked.

A little ways down the road from Hagg’s Hotel is the Riverboat Saloon. Don’t ya just love Roadside ‘Merica?
