Hey, I forgot I had this image. It’s the Chicago Water Tower located at 806 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, of course.
This is one of the few buildings that survived the great fire of 1871. The tower was built in 1869 and housed a large pump to draw water from Lake Michigan. Inside, the standpipe that holds the water is 138 foot high. The Chicago Water Tower is the second oldest water tower in the United States. The oldest water tower is located in Louisville, Kentucky. It is called the Louisville Water Tower.
