Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery

and just a whole bunch of other stuff

Just yesterday I learned that I had a photograph accepted into the 42nd Annual Juried Art Exhibition at the Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery on the campus of Lebanon Valley College. My photograph title is “The Workhouse”, I made it in Buffalo, New York at Silo City last October. The link to the gallery at LVC is here: Lebanon Valley College and a link to my photograph as well as some other great photos from Silo City is here: Images From Silo City.

Funerals

I’ve been to 4 funerals in the past 4 months and just the other day I learned that a friend, Sean, lost his girl friend, Nikki, in tragic traffic accident. I didn’t know her but there are a whole lot of people who have been touched by this loss.  I am not accustomed to so much death and it is troubling to me. RIP Tom, Brynn, Aunt Lolly, Barb and Nikki!

Intermission

This is my blog so I can write whatever I want and this post will be pretty much be self serving. Love it or hate it, okay.

The Month of April

April has been and continues to be the busiest month in my year. My oldest daughter turns 30 this month. Happy Birthday Jess I love you! My youngest son turns 22 this month. Happy Birthday Ryan I love you! My middle daughter Megan doesn’t have anything this month. I love you Meg!

My 31st wedding anniversary is this month. I love you Robrandi!

Sometime in April I will find out if I have any photographs published in the 2013 edition of PUSGA’s ABSENCE Literary Arts Journal. Regardless of the editor’s decision I will attend the opening and I will be presenting PSUGA with a copy of my J.W. Cooper Abandoned Gymnasium photograph for their kind acceptance of my work.

I think Dave Grooms birthday is in April.

Sometime in April I will find out if any of my photographs made it into the Camp Hill, Plein Air Arts Festival.

I think T-Roy’s birthday is in April.

Sometime in April I will find out if any of my photographs made it into the Pennsylvania Art of the State: 2013.

The camera clubs Digital Image of the Year and Print of the Year competitions are both in April.

I will be photographing at St. Vincent’s Basilica next week. The gallery opening at LVC is Friday, April 5th. That’s all.

Eastern State Penitentiary

I want to apologize to my friends Wally and Jeff over at Paranormal Research Enthusiasts of PA (PREP). I told Wally that I would come out to their investigation at Eastern State Penitentiary and photograph the event but with the LVC acceptance and my previous commitment to St Vincent’s I will not be able to make it. Sorry guys! I really want to get together with you on one of your investigations and I am serious! I will try and get my ESP photos posted up tomorrow so you and your members can check them out.

More Stuff

Happy Birthday Arlene! From Robrandi and I. We love you guys.

I will be back up at Silo City in May for 3 more days of awesome photography. Anybody wanna join me..?

Ed and Cindy are getting married in June. We can’t wait! I will be visiting one of my best friends, Fuji either before or after the wedding. We have to work out the details. Sometime in June I will find out I any of my photographs made it into the Art of Photography Show in San Diego, California.

When I make it to July, I will turn 55.

At the end of the year Robrandi and I will be joining Sandi and Mr. Phil for a wonderful trip to Pasadena, California and the Tournament of Roses Parade.

And there you have it…. my mental health day.
